Company Girl Coffee {2009-07-10}

It’s Friday again, and what a crazy busy week it’s been for me! Come on in, pour yourself a cup of coffee, and I’ll tell you all about it.

It starts on Monday when my two uncles flew in from Hawai’i for a three week visit. Then the next day my sister and her baby (my cute little nephew) came over to spend a couple of days with us before flying to Hawai’i this morning for a month.

Wednesday was the memorial service for Todd’s Grandma. She was finally laid to rest in peace. On our way home we stopped at the Centralia Outlets to do some quick shopping, followed by another stop at Fred Meyer’s to order Einstein’s birthday cake.

Yesterday I took care of my nephew for a couple of hours while my sister, Kristy, went to her doctor appointment. There was nothing to that. He’s not even a month old, so all he really does is eat, sleep, and poop. LOL.

When Kris got back I packed up the Durango and we headed to the park to have a “small kine” celebration for Einstein’s 6th birthday. We just invited a few friends and had hot dogs and pizza, followed by SpongeBob birthday cake. The kids had fun riding their bikes and playing at the playground. The weather was absolutely perfect.

Today we’re just hanging around the house. As soon as I’m done with this post we’re going to pack up the bikes and head to the playground. By the time we get back home it will probably be time for me to leave for my very first Zumba class. Claudia’s been inviting me to go with her forever. Since our uncles are here to play with the boys I thought the next couple of weeks would be the perfect time to accept Claudia’s invitation. Because, like I misspoke yesterday, “I want Claudia’s body.” I meant I want a body like Claudia’s. Hahaha!

Okay, now the boys want to go to Target and Best Buy. So here are a few pictures from yesterday, then I need to scram. Talk to you later. Have a nice weekend! On second thought, since I took a lot of pictures I’ll create a slideshow and post it here later. The boys are getting impatient. Be sure to check back later.

***Update: Here’s the slideshow, as promised. Remember to pause my music at the top of the page because the slideshow has it’s own music. Hope you like it.

And...here we go!

1. The last thing I ate was Mele Macs and Water.
2. A 12x12 Scrapbook for fifty cents, is something I recently bought.
3. When it rains, it gets wet.
4. Todd was the first person I talked to today.
5. Hugs are how the Hawaiian people greet each other.
6. Having a home security system is extra comfort.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to Zumba, tomorrow my plans include Cheese Days and Sunday, I want to relax!

Happy Birthday Einstein!

It’s hard to believe that six years ago today I was at Queens Hospital in Hawai’i giving birth to my baby. Out of my three kids, he’s the only one that I had the luxury of getting an epidural for. Of course, we also had to force him out since he refused to come out on his own. He was also the biggest baby weighing in at 9lbs., 11oz. I think it was all in his big head. LOL.

Happy Birthday Baby!

Things I Love Thursday {Mele Macs}

We’ve had a full house since Monday night when my two uncle’s arrived from Hawai’i. They came with a selection of goodies that aren’t readily available here in Washington. Sure, we’d be able to get them, but it would cost a LOT more with the shipping. One of my favorite things is something that can be highly addictive. Then again, I am a chocolate addict, so anything with chocolate can be addictive for me. Throw toffee and macadamia nuts in the mix and it could be a disaster. So that’s the thing I love today. Although, my waistline would strongly disagree.

Forks Photos

We’re now one week into the month of July and I’ve been keeping up with my daily NaBloPoMo posts. However, we have a house full of people now (two uncles visiting from Hawai’i, my sister, and my baby nephew) and it’s been pretty hectic. So, I may be falling of the wagon here shortly. In any case, I’m making a quick post just so that I can say I went down fighting. *laughs*

If you were here on Monday, then you know that I went on a road trip to Forks with the girls. It was a three hour ride (and I say “ride” because I wasn’t driving-thank goodness). I took some pictures on our way there. It was fun talking story with Davina and her sister Rayna, and getting to know them better. It was also fun to have a kid-free day.

I didn’t really have any high expectations. I just wanted to be able to say that I’ve been there and take a few pictures to prove it. We went to Forks, passed by La Push and didn’t even know it (but Davina, who was hungry and had already been to Forks, knew it and kept it to herself…I didn’t know you could be so sneaky, Davina…hahaha), drove through Port Angeles, then headed home and stopped at a winery that had a newly released Twilight Sparkling wine. “We came, we saw, we took pictures.” So here are a few pictures from our trip.

I should have stood in front of Bella. LOL!

The Cullens’ House (which looks absolutely NOTHING like the description in the book).

Here’s a self portrait at one of the stops we made…lunch. Please excuse the messy hair. Ugh, I need a haircut.  This bottle of sparkling red wine can be yours for only $34.99…Limited Edition =) Hope you enjoyed the pictures and a glimpse of our 20 minutes day in Forks.
